Martin Groves became the most successful driver in the 63-year history of the British Hillclimb Championship at the weekend.
The three-time champion’s win in round 6 at Harewood Hill in Leeds was his 91st victory in the category, taking him to the top of the all-time list of winners.
With Saturday’s double-header at Barbon Manor cancelled after the recently repaired surface was deemed unfit for the two run offs the event the competitors moved to Harewood on Sunday where Groves and championship leader Scott Moran shared the wins.
Roger Moran picked up a pair of third place finishes while Deryk Young scored his first points of the season with strong runs to fourth and fifth.
Richard Spedding was the fastest of the bike-engined cars, while Will Hall made his return to action after fitting a new engine in his car after a tough opening round at Prescott.
