ARCA: NASCAR Trucks star set for 2nd ARCA outing

Matt Crafton will make his second career ARCA Racing Series outing at Iowa Speedway this weekend.

The 34-year-old NASCAR Camping World Truck series race winner made his ARCA debut at Toledo Speedway last month, finishing fifth in the #88 Messina Wildlife Management/Menards Ford Fusion. His return will come in the same car, prepared by Kimmel Racing.

"I love racing, so as long as I am driving a racecar, I am happy," said Crafton. "I am very excited to run the race with Menards and Messina on the car at Iowa. Hopefully, we should be able to contend for a win, no doubt.

"Our finish at Toledo was definitely not where we thought we would have been. We had multiple problems throughout the race. All in all, it was a top-five and a good race. We had a lot of fun competing in no-pressure racing."

Crafton will run double duty at Iowa, as he will also race in the NASCAR Camping World Truck series the day after the ARCA event, and while he has limited experience of the circuit, the track is one he likes.

"I ran at Iowa once. I really, really like Iowa, so I am looking forward to going there," he said. "I am sure it's going to be warm, so I will make sure to stay hydrated to run both races. I am sure that the cars and trucks are going to be a lot different to drive at Iowa, but track time is track time."
