Yet another victim of gratuitous abbreviation syndrome here as our American cousins do what they do best in the not-as-famous-as-NASCAR stock car racing category, ARCA.

Like ChampCar and Indycar in the “open-wheel” division, ARCA does exactly the same as its illustrious rival; take large, unwieldy saloons, give them 200mph and only one direction to turn in. Indycar refugee eyes ARCA for 2011 - 14/01 - 13:50
Indycar racer Milka Duno is considering a full-time switch to the ARCA Series in 2011 as her chances of remaining in the single-seater formula continue to fade. 38-year-old Duno has run sporadically in Indycar since 2007, taking her best finish to date with 11th in that year’s Texas event. 2010 saw her run a full schedule for the first time but she struggled badly on non-oval circuits, incurring the wrath of her competitors and often being parked early in proceedings by race organiseres.
