Since the 1980’s motor racing stars and gentleman drivers have reunited at ski resorts across France each winter to compete in a very unique form of motor racing. The Andros Trophy is one of the most celebrated ice racing series across Europe. The high-pitched, studded tyre four-wheel drive cars battle one another and the clock to see who his the most adept when it comes to the deft art of opposite lock sideways competition.
The series has seen the likes of all rounder Yvan Muller and four time Formula One world champion Alain Prost and countless other veterans of more traditional forms of auto racing demonstrate their skills on the ice and snow covered circuits. But the Trophy is also an opportunity for amateur drivers to join in and make the series what it is: an action packed weekend of racing in the friendliest of environments.
