CAROTHERS750 MOTOR CLUB RACING

The 750 Motor Club’s popular Toyota MR2 Championship has received a boom in entries for 2011 with grid levels reaching capacity and prompting organisers to alter the race weekend format to accommodate all 65 cars.

Students from City College, Birmingham plan to design, build and race a car in the 750 Motor Club’s flagship series, the 750 Formula Championship, this year.

The 750 Motor Club visited Brands Hatch last weekend as it showcased its usual fantastic array of grass-roots racing.

Series falling under the 750 Motor Club banner visited two separate venues over the Easter weekend, Mallory Park and Castle Combe.

The 2009 MR2 champion, Mark Jessop, has pulled out of the 2010 championship after just one race meeting.

Castle Combe offered the MR2 podium finishers a unique reward of a lap of honour in their rostrum vehicle during the Easter Monday Race Day.

Andrei Bgatov had a mixed weekend in the opening round of the MR2 Championship at Snetterton recently.

The 750 Motor Club held its first meeting of the 2010 season at Snetterton last weekend, with ten of the club’s series in action.

MR2 Championship front runners Andrei Bgatov, Mark Jessop and David Bryant had a useful shakedown test at Cadwell Park at the weekend.
