750 MC: Chapman, Bgatov and Lumley swap tin-tops for an open top!

Castle Combe offered the MR2 podium finishers a unique reward of a lap of honour in their rostrum vehicle during the Easter Monday Race Day.

The trio scored one, two and three in both races and enjoyed the ride afterwards thanking the marshals and an impressive spectator crowd.

Zac Chapman dominated throughout the day, starting both races from pole and driving away from the rest of the pack in a fashion untypical for one-make race series.

Andrei Bgatov was back in action following his bad fortune at Snetterton, scoring two second places. In Race 1 Bgatov and Paul Hinson entertained the crowd with a nail-biting battle for most of the race. The pair was lapping nose to tail, with just 0.1 seconds between them for 3 laps. In the end Bgatov's race craft proved too much for Hinson who spun off on the penultimate lap whilst attempting an optimistic overtaking move at Tower.

Steve Lumley provided further excitement by overtaking John Wilson for 3rd place at the last corner on the last lap of Race 1, and enjoyed a relatively easy 3rd in Race 2.
