PSC: Ragginger & Hardt join Schnabl Parker Racing

Martin Ragginger and Jorg Hardt will both return to the Porsche Supercup grid this weekend at Hockenheim.

The duo will drive for Schnabl Engineering Team Parker Racing as the Anglo-German squad expands its attack to four cars at the German Grand Prix-supporting event.

Former Porsche Junior Ragginger, 22, is currently racing in the German Carrera Cup and has also driven in Grand Am and the Le Mans Series this season. He has prior Supercup experience from the 2008 season where he had a best result of third in Barcelona.

The 29-year-old Hardt has extensive experience in the Supercup and German Carrera Cup, and is a race-winner in both, but hasn’t done much racing in the past couple of seasons.

“I was actually planning a short holiday last weekend,” laughed team manager Sven Schnabl after completing the late deals. “However, the idea was born to start with two more cars at our home race, so there was no chance to relax!

“With Martin Ragginger we have one of the best youngsters in Porsche racing on board. His three podium finished in the first four rounds of this year’s German Carrera Cup prove his ability.

“Jorg drove for us before victoriously in the 2006 Carrera Cup, was a winner in the 2004 Supercup finale at Monza and finished second twice in four Supercup races for us in 2008.

“We’ve definitely got a promising team for this seventh round in Hockenheim.”

The team will also continue to run Porsche Carrera Cup GB champion Tim Bridgman and German Thomas Messer.
