PSC: British trio make guest Supercup appearances

British drivers Tim Harvey, James Sutton and Aaron Scott will make guest appearances in the Porsche Supercup this weekend.

The trio join the field for the round at Silverstone supporting the British Grand Prix as they look to impress against the series’ regulars.

Reigning Porsche Carrera Cup GB champion Harvey has made several Supercup guest appearances in the past, including in the rain at Silverstone last year, where he finished tenth after storming through the field from 24th on the grid in the treacherous conditions. He currently lies second in the GB standings.

The 23-year-old Sutton won the British Carrera Cup title in 2007 and was a race winner in the British GT Championship last year. He has returned to the Carrera Cup this season and lies fourth in the standings with two wins, despite missing the opening round of the year.

Scott is a regular on the GT racing circuit in the British and European GT3 Championships and has raced twice in the Carrera Cup GB for JMH this season.

Meanwhile, Christian Engelhart will replace Luigi Ferrara in one of SANITEC Racing’s Porsches this weekend. The German has raced in his domestic Carrera Cup series for the past two seasons having switched from single-seaters. Ferrara misses out due to budgetary issues.
