PSC: Halliday to lead Giltrap Racing assault

Matt Halliday will lead the Giltrap Racing team in the Porsche Supercup this season.

Halliday will return full-time to the series in 2010, having competed in six rounds last season, to drive for the New Zealand-based squad, which will race with support from experienced Supercup outfit MRS Racing.

"I am really looking forward to the coming season with such a highly regarded team with whom I have previously enjoyed some success,” said Halliday ahead of the season-opener in Bahrain this weekend.

“It is significant that we have a real New Zealand effort behind us which will continue to maintain the high Kiwi motor racing profile in Europe. I am grateful to the Giltrap Group who have placed their faith in me to challenge for the prestigious Supercup"

In total, MRS Racing will run five cars this year. Jan Seyffarth and Norbert Siedler will drive for the main Veltins-backed team while, along with Halliday, William Langhorne and Christian Engelhart will compete under the SANITEC Racing banner.
