Geddie and Brown join GT Open field for Brands

Glyn Geddie and Dan Brown will join the International GT Open field at Brands Hatch this weekend.

The British duo will compete with AF Corse, for whom they also run in FIA GT3, driving a Ferrari 458 at the Kent circuit.

"It's a great opportunity to test myself against a different field of drivers which will hopefully help me to further develop as a driver," said Geddie.

"Brands Hatch is a circuit I know well and one I feel comfortable at which should help to give me that extra edge. I finished third down there just last month when I was competing in the British GT alongside my dad Jim.”

And Geddie admitted that after a torrid run of fortune in GT3 – with he and Brown being hit by a number of mechanical woes – he’s hoping for a strong result at Brands.

"The FIA GT3 drives have proved to be tough going and there just seems to be one thing after another.

"That's extremely frustrating but I'm hoping for a change in fortune at Brands and we really have to be aiming for a win. On paper there's no reason why we shouldn't be up there challenging for a place on the podium at the end of the race."
