Spanish squad Sunred will return to the International GT Open for round 5 of the 2010 season at Magny-Cours this weekend.
The team makes its series comeback with one of its unique Judd-powered SR 21 sportscars which will be shared by World Touring Car Championship star Jordi Gene and Spanish racer Ferran Monje.
The 27-car grid for the French round also sees the return of the fourth GTS-class Kessel Racing Ferrari 430 Scuderia, which will be shared by Valencia winners Andrea Ceccato and Alessio Salucci, while Noel Del Bello Racing is present at the team’s home race with a Lamborghini Gallardo for Patrick and Christophe Caternet.
The overall championship is led by AF Corse pairing Alvaro Barba and Pierre Kaffer as the second half of the season begins, with the Autorlando Sport Porsche of Richard Lietz and Gianluca Roda, 12 points behind in second.
In the GTS class for GT3 machinery, Andros Trophy champion Jean-Philippe Dayraut, who this weekend shares his Luxury Racing Ferrari with sportscar star Stephane Ortelli, leads the standings heading into his home race, but just 12 points covers the top seven drivers.
