GT Open: Donington entry list

25 cars will line up at Donington Park this weekend for round 4 of the 2009 International GT Open.

While the grid is the smallest of the season as a handful of European-based squads decided not to make the trip across the channel just one week after the last round at Spa-Francorchamps, it still has plenty of depth across the Super GT and GTS classes.

The Easyrace Ferrari and Sun Red SR21s won’t be at Donington, but the Super GT class will still boast teams of the calibre of IMSA Performance Matmut, Advanced Engineering, Racing Team Edil Cris and Autorlando Sport as the Ferrari v Porsche battle continues. One driver change in the class sees Italian Ferdinando Monfardini step into the Vittoria Competizioni Ferrari 430 in place of Bulgarian Plamen Kralev.

In the GTS class, British squads Apex Motorsport and Tech 9 Motorsport boost the grid, while Marcos Racing will also enter a Marcos Mantis for Luis Bermudez de Castro / Cor Euser.

One driving change sees Lucas Guerrero replacing Marco Petrini in the Villois Racing Aston Martin DBRS9.
