

Created in 2006 from the Spanish GT championship, the International GT Open is in fact a International version of the Iberian series for GT2 and GT3 cars such as the Porsche 911 and Ferrari 430.
Each meeting features to races with the first being roughly 200kms for pros and gentleman drivers. Race two is a 100km sprint for the more experienced competitors with the exception of the Barcelona race being 300kms. In 2007, Richard Lietz and Joel Camathias took top honours in their Porsche 997.
