PRO GT returns to FFSA GT Championship

PRO GT, the squad owned by former racer Philippe Almeras, will return to the FFSA (French) GT Championship in 2011 with a pair of brand new Porsche 911 GT3 Rs.

The German-made car won the FFSA title last season in the hands of Larbre Competition and Almeras, who will also run three cars in the French Porsche Carrera Cup, has secured the services of two experienced crews to lead the team’s return to the series.

Multiple Carrera Cup champion Anthony Beltoise joins Porsche regular Laurent Pasquali in one car with the second shared by Laurent Cazenave and Jean-Claude Police who make the switch to PRO GT from Corvette squad DKR Engineering.

“I was impressed by the performance of the new GT3 R model I drove last Autumn at the French GT Championship round at Magny-Cours,” said Almeras.

“I can’t wait for the season to begin. We will also contest selected Blancpain Endurance Series races with a GT3 R, maybe even the whole championship.”
