Enge set for second season with Young Driver AMR

Aston Martin stalwart Tomas Enge will remain with the satellite Young Driver GT1 World Championship team this season.

The 34-year-old Czech and 2010 co-driver Darren Turner were title contenders throughout the revived series’ first season before ending up fourth in the final standings at the wheel of their DBR9.

And having come close to lifting the crown last term Enge, a former Le Mans Series champion, is in no doubt as to his aims for 2011.

"Both the team and I have the same aim for the upcoming season to finish in the front," he said. "However, we had the same aim last year but unfortunately we had some troubles in some races but we all learned from it.

"The most important is to have consistent results all the time and pick up points everywhere."

Despite their successful partnership last season, Enge remains unsure whether he and Turner will team up again.

"I do not know now who will be my team-mate," he added. "It is still open who will be second driver."
