FIA GT: Ortelli and Bergmeister confirmed at Trackspeed

Trackspeed has confirmed that Stephane Ortelli and Jorg Bergmeister will join their team at the Spa 24 Hours.

The British outfit will run a GT2 Porsche 911 GT3-RSR and Porsche works driver Bergmeister and sportscar star Ortelli will share the car with team regulars David Ashburn and Tim Sugden.

The experienced Ortelli has been racing for Oreca in both the Le Mans Series and French GT Championship this season and won the Spa 24 Hours outright with Porsche in 2003. Bergmeister currently leads the GT2 standings in the American Le Mans Series having won the championship in 2008.

“This is a fantastic line-up,” said Sugden “and it will be a real pleasure to be part of this team. We’re going to put up a great fight for the win in what is sure to be an exciting 24 Hour race.”

Ashburn currently lies tenth in the FIA GT Championship GT2 standings having shared the car with both Bergmeister and Sugden this season.
