Jeuris to race Saker in DSC

Belgian Wim Jeuris has committed to race in the Dutch Supercar Challenge in 2011 driving a Saker GT having opted against returning to the Belcar Endurance Championship.

Jeuris made a one-off appearance in the DSC season-finale at Assen last year and also raced in the Saker Sportscar Challenge, Belcar and Belgian Touring Car Series and has now decided to take on the full DSC season alongside co-driver Ronald Vetters.

“The dilemma was that last season we couldn’t achieve anything with the Saker in the Belcar Endurance Championship,” explained Jeuris. “Belcar is a bit too professional and the number of participants in our class was too small to be fun.

“We have ordered the new 2011 upgrade kit for the car and our main goal this year is to drive for fun, on some tracks that are new for us and just do our best.”

Jeuris hasn’t ruled out a return to Belcar at some stage in the future, although it’s unlikely to be with the Saker.
