British GT: Ashburn and Geddie look for fourth consecutive win

David Ashburn and Glynn Geddie were victorious during the two hour endurance race at Silverton in the last round of the British GT Championship, and are looking for more of the same at Snetterton this weekend.

The Trackspeed Porsche 997 GT3R duo can also add their two race wins at Rockingham last month to their list of victories.

Ashburn is currently leading the championship standings with 72 points after eight rounds of the series.

His team-mate Geddie is in joint second place in the standings level on points with the Ferrari pair of Matt Griffin and Duncan Cameron – all three drivers currently have 46 points.

In the G4 Class championship front runners Christian Dick and Jamie Stanley will be racing a rather lighter Speedworks Motorsport Ginetta G50 following their twin defeats by the ABG KTM at Rockingham and their retirement at Silverstone.

Dick and Stanely could still face a major disadvantage at the Norfolk circuit as the quick and exciting Piranha Motorsport Lotus 2-Eleven of Chris Bialan and Simon Mason and the Ginetta of Vibe Smed/Nathan Freke will be looking to close the gap at the top of the standings.
