British GT: Bell brothers to race together at Silverstone

Rob Bell will make his debut in the British GT Championship at Silverstone this weekend where he will race alongside his brother Matt.
The duo have entered the G4 Class and will be racing a Ginetta G50 for Matt’s FIA GT3 series team United Autosports.

Eight cars have already entered the G4 Class for the race this weekend which looks set to boast the class’ largest entry of the last two years.

Rob told Motorsport News that he was looking forward to the opportunity of racing with his brother.

“Matt is still relatively new to racing so we wanted to find a way of giving him more mileage,” he said. “When the team asked me to sit in with him I jumped at the chance.

“I’ve never raced in British GT before so it will make a nice change and sharing the car with Matt will undoubtedly be a strange experience.

“Getting used to the lack of grip in the G50 will be a challenge since I’m used to a GT2 Ferrari.”
