The British GT championship on Motors TV

The British GT Championship, in its current form was created in 1993. Two categories are featured. The first being GT3 for the likes of the Ferrari 458 and 430 Scuderia, Aston Martin DBRS9, Porsche Cup S GT3, Audi R8 and the Mercedes SLS and GT4, which features cars very similar to their production origins; Lotus Evora GT4, Nissan 370Z and BMW M3. In 2011, a B category was created allowing older model Ferrari 430 Aston Martin DBSR9 GT3 cars to race.

British GT shares billing with the British Formula 3 championship and competes on Great Britain’s most famous circuits as well as legendary Spa-Francorchamps and features two races per meeting. Two of England’s most famous racing makes returned in 2011: Lotus with the Evora and Chevron. Glynn and Jim Geddie won the GT3 title last year.
