Xero Competition confirm drivers for SPEED Euroseries

Xero Competition has announced a driver line-up of Tom Bradshaw and Ben Clucas as the British team prepares to join the SPEED Euroseries grid from the next round at Spa-Francorchamps in May.

The Warrington-based outfit missed the opening round of the re-vamped series, but will run a customer WFR03 chassis, a car that won both races in the hands of Team WFR in the opening round at Paul Ricard earlier this month, for the remainder of the season.

Blackburn-based 22-year-old, Bradshaw, has previously raced in Formula Ford, Formula Palmer Audi and the Porsche Carrera Cup GB and made his SPEED debut at Brands Hatch last season.

British driver Clucas, 27, is a former Australian F3 Champion who has also raced in Formula Ford and British F3. He switched to GT racing in 2007, where he was vice-champion in the Spanish GT Championship, and also has prior SPEED experience driving the Satellite Racing Norma.

“It is a late start for us but it was vital for WFR to make sure the works team cars were competitive before we took over the customer car,” explained team manager Dave Beecroft. “The result at Le Castellet was a storming success and we’re excited about the remainder of the season.”
