SPEED: Series to incorporate BESCR

The SPEED prototype racing series will include the bike engine BESCR category in its long distance races in 2010.

BESCR, which was set up by a breakaway faction of the 750 Motor Club’s BikeSports series in 2008, will run 90 minute races with SPEED events with a mandatory five minute refuelling pitstop.

“This is major step up for our competitors with bike engine sportscars and is the only enduro series for us anywhere in Europe,” said Jean Parker of BESCR. “As the SPEED series expands in Europe we will grow with them.”

Oliver McCrudden, organiser of SPEED added: “BESCR will provide a strong feeder group for the SPEED series, giving drivers the route into endurance sports prototype racing.

“With a guaranteed increase of 10 or more cars added to our CN regulars, we’ll be reaching grid capacity at some circuits this season.”
