Nicolet lands Speed Euroseries berth for Silverstone


French racer Pierre Nicolet will contest the Silverstone leg of the Speed Euroseries championship after inking a deal with Team Avelon Formula.

The Formula Renault 1.6 graduate will make his sports prototype debut at the British event aboard one of the team’s Wolf GB08-Hondas. He has already begun testing the machine, running at Italian venue Franciacorta in preparation for the September 11 race at Silverstone.

Nicolet is the son of Le Mans Series team owner Jacques, who heads the Oak Racing operation. The team have enjoyed LMP2 success at the Le Mans 24 Hours in recent years.
