Le Mans: Team Modena sign Pierre Ehret

Team Modena have added Pierre Ehret to their 2009 Le Mans 24-Hours line-up, the versatile racer joining team regular Leo Mansell in squad’s Ferrari 430 GT.

“We are pleased to have Pierre on board with us for Le Mans, he has both Le Mans and Ferrari experience,” said Team Principal Graham Schultz. "He was third in the LMS at Spa earlier this month – and is a great addition to our line-up.”

Pierre has already had a test with the team, sampling the Ferrari at the Algarve circuit in Portugal. Born in Germany but now based in the US, Pierre started racing GTs in 2003 and has twice competed at the Le Mans and Daytona 24-Hour races. Making his Team Modena debut, Pierre is a welcome addition to the line-up and brings his experience and enthusiasm to Le Mans.

“I am very glad to join Team Modena,” said Pierre, “a team with great history and reputation. I am looking forward to continue my quest to capture the top place of the podium and to work with the entire team to accomplish this. I have met most of the members of Team Modena at the test in the Algarve, and I can truly say they are a great bunch of folks, with whom I really enjoy working.”

The team’s third driver for the classic French race will be announced closer to the race.
