Greaves stick with Zytek for 2012 WEC and LMS assaults

Reigning Le Mans Series LMP2 class champions Greaves Motorsport have confirmed that they will continue to run Zytek chassis next season.

Having purchased two of the British manufacturer's 2012-spec machines the team will field both in the Le Mans 24 Hours and will also enter one in the new World Endurance Championship and the other in defence of their LMS crown.

“We spent a lot of time and effort in examining all the potential candidates but it soon became clear that continuing the partnership with Zytek was the best course of action, particularly in view of our programme for 2012," commented team boss Jacob Greaves.

"We have a lot of experience with the basic package and feel that Zytek will be best placed to optimise the effects of the proposed chassis and aerodynamic rule changes that have been mandated by the ACO. We are looking forward to going racing once again with Zytek in 2012,” he added.

Greaves also reported that their cars will be powered by Nissan engines and shod with Dunlop tyres, whilst their driver line-up will be revealed in the near future. Karim Ojjeh, Tom Kimber-Smith and Olivier Lombard guided them to this year's LMS LMP2 title.
