LMS: Swiss group buys Full Speed and KplusK Motorsport

A Swiss investment group has bought the assets of Full Speed Racing and KplusK Motorsport and will race in the Le Mans Series in 2010.

The newly-named Atlas FX Team Full Speed has posted a full season entry in the LMS GT1 category for a single Saleen S7R. Former Japanese F3 champion Carlo van Dam and former Porsche Carrera Cup and Lamborghini Trophy racer Adam Lacko, both of whom have raced the Saleen before, have been nominated as drivers.

Lacko raced in four FIA GT races in the KplusK Saleen in 2009, while van Dam combined races in the Full Speed Racing and Larbre Competition Saleens at the Spa 24 Hours and Asian Le Mans Series with his single-seater campaigns in the F3 Euro Series and Superleague Formula.

Anglo-Austrian team Full Speed Racing ran a pair of Saleens in the FIA GT Championship last year, while KplusK Motorsport raced the S7Rs in FIA GT and the LMS.

“Podium finishes are obligatory for we want to have a say in the championship,” said team spokesman Peter Levicek. “KplusK demonstrated this with its team in 2009. They achieved two victories and four podium finishes with the Saleen, which shows that we have a realistic target.”
