Audi confirm two R8 LMS entries for Bathurst 12 Hours

Audi will defend their Bathurst 12 Hours title next year with a pair of R8 LMS machines set to contest the Australian enduro.

Christopher Mies and Darryl O’Young will return to defend the victory they took in February, with Christer Jöns joining them for the Bathurst run. The German scored four ADAC GT Masters podiums this season and, like Mies, was part of the Audi factory team at the Nürburgring 24 Hours.

The German marque's second car features a trio of Australian stars, with Mark Eddy, Craig Lowndes and Warren Luff set to handle driving duties. Eddy currently leads the Australian GT Championship, where he campaigns an R8 LMS; Lowndes and Luff are both stars of the V8 Supercars championship, with the former currently in the hunt for his fourth series title.

Audi enjoyed a dominant Bathurst 12 Hours early this year, with both cars starting on the front row and ending with a one-two finish a one-lap clear of their nearest rival.
