Enge out indefinitely

After his violent crash at round two of the ALMS in St. Petersburg, Thomas Enge won’t be racing for some time. Doctors confirmed that the Czech driver has suffered a shattered elbow, cracked ribs, a partially collapsed lung and possibly a broken ankle too. Enge was leading the GT2 class when he had a high-speed impact at turn three and was immediately hospitalised at Bayfront Medical Centre. Despite being alert and stable, the extent of his injuries are concentrated on the left-hand side of his body due to the impact of his crash, while doctors have recommended that he be transferred to the Indianapolis Methodist Hospital for further treatment and surgery. While a recuperation time has not been stated, Enge is expected to be unlikely to compete in the American Le Mans Series for some time, as well as the FIA GT Championship and A1 Grand Prix series.
