ALMS: van der Steur Racing returns for Lime Rock

Van der Steur Racing will make its return to the American Le Mans Series in the next round at Lime Rock Park.

Gunnar van der Steur and Adam Pecorari will drive the team’s Kumho-shod Radical SR9-AER in the LMP2 class where they will compete against the Lowe’s Fernandez Racing Acura and a pair of Dyson Racing Lola-Mazdas.

Van der Steur and Pecorari last drove together for the team in St. Petersburg in 2008 and finished 10th overall at Lime Rock in 2007.

The five Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars from the Challenge class are on the Lime Rock entry including Salt Lake City winners Martin and Melanie Snow of Snow Racing. Lime Rock also will mark the return of Shane Lewis to the grid, his first race in the American Le Mans Series since 2003. He will drive with John Baker in one of two ORBIT Racing entries.
