Graf and Luhr score Long Beach ALMS triumph

German duo Klaus Graf and Lucas Luhr took overall victory in the American Le Mans Series' Long Beach event.

The Muscle Milk machine took the lead from LMP1 rival Dyson with half an hour remaining and from there built a commanding 44 second advantage by the flag. Third overall was the CORE Autosport entry of Alex Popow and Ryan Dalziel, which also claimed victory in the LMPC class from Muscle Milk's Memo Gidley and Mike Guash.

Scott Tucker and Christophe Bouchut took LMP2 honours in their Level 5 Motorsports HPD, benefitting from a late race penalty for class leaders Martin Plowman and David Heinemeier Hansson (Conquest).

The GT class battle was typically close, with Corvette pairing Oliver Gavin and Tommy Milner winning a race-long scrap with BMW duo Dirk Muller and Joey Hand. Scott Sharp and Johannes van Overbeek completed the class podium in their Ferrari 458 Italia.

Damien Faulkner and Peter LeSaffre (Green Hornet Racing) took the GTC win from Leh Keen and Cooper MacNell (Alex Job Racing).

The series next event is a trip to the iconic Laguna Seca circuit in California over the weekend of May 11/12.
