WSBK: Parkes secures Superbike stay

Broc Parkes has secured his immediate future in the World Superbike Championship after clinching a deal with new squad Echo CRS Honda Racing Team.

The Australian rider has been looking for a new ride since losing his works deal with Kawasaki, and will now link up with the Italian outfit, which is stepping up from the World Supersport Championship. The team will run ex-Stiggy Racing Honda CBR1000RR machines.

Parkes finished 18th, but best Kawasaki rider, in the WSBK standings this season, but wasn’t retained by the Japanese manufacturer. He finished as runner-up in WSS in 2005 and has a best finish of fifth in WSBKs.
