MX: Roczen makes Musquin wait for title

Ken Roczen claimed victory in both of the day’s motos in Campo Grande, Brazil on Sunday, meaning MX2 championship front runner Marvin Musquin didn’t clinch the world championship.

The German rider won both heats for the first time in 2010 and went toe-to-toe with Musquin for first place on both occasions and came out on top against the championship leader.

Musquin still sits atop the championship standings with 571 points, 72 points ahead of Roczen in second with 100 points still up for grabs in the remaining two Grands Prix.

Kawasaki CLS’ Jeremy Van Horebeek, completing the overall top three, the Belgian rode with a twisted knee to take sixth in race one after a bad start and third in moto two, where he charged hard to pass France’s Gautier Paulin and settle for an eventual top three finish.
