AMA SX:: Suzuki confirms rider line-up

Suzuki has ended speculation that it would withdraw from its US motorsport programmes in 2010 by announcing its AMA Supercross rider line-up.

With former champion and 2009 runner-up Chad Reed having moved to Kawasaki and Mike Alessi rejoining KTM, Suzuki has turned to Ryan Dungey and Matt Moss to lead its attack on the Supercross title when the new season begins in Anaheim on 9 January.

Dungey will be hoping to add the Supercross title to the AMA Motorcross crown he won this season, and will run dual campaigns in both categories with the team. Dungey also collected the regional Supercross Lites West title in 2009 and the 21-year-old will be seen as the Rockstar Makita Suzuki team leader next season.

Joining the US native is Australian Moss, who successfully defended his Australasian National Pro Lites title this year and also won the Australasian Supercross Pro Lites crown. Both riders will contest the AMA Supercross series aboard Suzuki’s RM-Z450.

A third rider, Austin Stroupe, will compete in the regional Pro Lites East series riding the Suzuki RM-Z250.
