Kawasaki's Paul Bird finshes second on the Specsavers Christmas Stages Rally.
In his first rally for six months Paul Bird came back in fine fashion to claim the runners-up spot on the Specsavers Christmas Stages Rally held at Croft Circuit in North Yorkshire.

Having ended his sparkling riding career on a high with his third World Superbike Championship crown in eight years, Troy Bayliss is adamant that he is not missing the adrenaline rush of competition - but that does not necessarily mean he will not be back one day.

Kawasaki starts official testing for 2009.

Broc Parkes got his first taste of the Ninja ZX-10R on Friday, when the all-new Paul Bird Motorsport-Kawasaki Superbike Racing Team kicked off its first test for 2009 at the sunny circuit of Almería in Spain.

KTM enter German Superbikes.
KTM will compete in German Superbikes in 2009, raising speculation that this is a prelude to a WSBK move in 2010.
KTM are taking their first steps towards the World Superbike Championship in 2010 by announcing that their new 1190 RC8 R bike will compete in the 2009 IDM German Superbike Championship.
