On Wednesday, November 19, the competitors in the 2008 Trans-African Classic made their way from Tagounite to Aït-Ouabelli.
The third Morocan stage saw the TAC field approach the Sahara: a detour in the yellow coloured dunes of the Chegaga erg, a fast run at the Iriki Lake and a final regularity sector on the torn up tracks between Tata and the village of Aït Ouabelli, tucked away in the rocky confines of the Algerian border. Tomorrow, the caravan will head west towards the Atlantic coast for an arrival at Tan Tan.
